HIGH EFFICIENCY EXHAUST GAS CLEANING

The photographs show part of a whisky by-products plant located in northern Scotland.  The 'BEFORE' chimney shows the emission from one of the plants prior to installing the DAVIDSON CLARK gas cleaning system.   The 'AFTER' chimney shows the emission from the other plant which has been fitted with the DAVIDSON CLARK system

The emissions come from a drying process handling pot ale and wet draff, residual materials from the production of malt whisky.   These are converted into animal feeds, and the dryer exhaust gases contain small grain particles, oil droplets and vapour phase contaminants.   The DAVIDSON CLARK LTD scrubbing system simultaneously removes all three with a high degree of efficiency.

The design of the system is based on our own in-situ particle size measurements of the grain fines and oil droplets, followed by extensive pilot plant trials.
